Ants will appear anytime of the year…

There are over 12,000 species of ants and nearly 200 of them are here in California.  And like a rude relative or friend, they show up uninvited and stay too long. Only 12 out of the 200 California ants are a real nuisance.  Like humans, ants prefer sweets (carbohydrates) and others prefer non-sweets (proteins).

To prevent invasion, a chemical barrier can be applied to the foundation and crevice treatments can be performed on patios, driveways, pipes etc.

Ants will appear anytime of the year and in any weather.  It’s hard to stay one step ahead of those pesky insects.  Keeping all food items sealed, including pet food and rinsing out soda containers before disposal and cleaning food prep areas are a few recommendations for controlling ants inside and outside.

If ants are a still problem, contact the professionals at Delk Pest Control.
