At Delk we understand the potential odor and exposure problems that our commercial accounts can encounter. Thus, caution guidelines are set to alleviate a large percentage of these potential problems. Critical to achieving effective pest control in commercial accounts is the cooperation between the customer and the technician, and an effective sanitation program.
The following caution guidelines are set to alleviate the possibility of pesticide exposure:
- Limit inside treatments to bait, crack and crevice, or spot bait treatments.
- Any extensive treatments will be done after the close of business.
- Use only low odor pesticides.
- Service the account when the least number of people (employees/customers) are present.
- Use only licensed service technicians.
- Supply labels and/or MSDS upon request.
- Use pesticides in accordance to label directions and local, state and federal regulations.
- Use IPM to reduce pesticide use on the premises.
- Do quarterly quality control checks.
- Meet state, local and federal posting and notification requirements.
- Always practice Integrated Pest Management.
- Safety, inspection, monitoring, documentation and communication are a must.
- In food handling accounts meet or exceed A.I.B. and USDA standards.
- Follow guidelines set forth in AB 2260 on all public school accounts.
